My name is Jamey Breen. I’m 25 years old and I live in Scituate, MA. I have cerebral palsy. I walk using a walker however, I mostly get around using a wheelchair. I’m writing these words, speaking into a microphone, not typing them.

Despite that, I’ve earned a college degree, I played high level wheelchair basketball, and I’m learning to drive a car. So don’t call me different. Don’t call me handicapped. Don’t call me disabled. Those are labels, and I don’t like ‘em.

​

It is not always easy for me to stay positive. When I was twenty-two I lost my older brother and best friend, Dan. I was angry, I was confused, and my faith was shaken to its core. I still miss Dan, I always will, but I have learned how to turn these feelings into positivity by sharing my experience. You will learn more about Dan and our relationship through posts, pictures and videos. My brother is at the core of everything I do, our bond will be forever unbreakable. The healing process after losing him has been ongoing since the day it happened.

This process started with the writing of my book, Keep It Rollin. Many people who have read my book have used it as a valuable resource for facing adversity regardless of what they may be. Since then, I have been able to speak to various groups about turning challenges into opportunities for positive growth.

​

I have also been lucky to work as a mentor in the community.  It does not matter whether you are facing a disability, a death in the family, or a string of bad days, everyone faces challenges.

​

I can help get you on the right path to reach your goals and achieve your dreams- on one condition- you have to be willing to work!

Never sell yourself short- always want more.

I feel better prepared to serve you guys and your needs now that I’ve had some time to put all of this in perspective.
