
Scituate man looks on bright side with new book
James "Jamey" Breen focuses on what he can do rather than what he cannot do.
Born with cerebral palsy, the 24-year-old Scituate resident said he is lucky to be surrounded by a supportive family and a close group friends who have always encouraged him to go after what he wants.
"I never felt limited or that something wasn't possible," he said.
Q & A with Scituate grad-turned-motivational coach Jamey Breen
Breen, who was born with cerebral palsy, is also doing some work as a motivational speaker, and is a bi-weekly contributor to the Rebound Blog, a wheelchair basketball documentary about a team in Miami. A 2010 graduate of Scituate High School with a B.A. in healthcare/communications from Stonehill College, Breen said he promotes a message of positivity, overcoming adversity, and achieving personal fulfillment.
